New York, NY, January 5, 2023 – U.S. Major General (R) Robert A. “Bob” Karmazin has just been named Scale Facilitation® Chief Scale Officer - Friend Shoring™, and Australian Colonel (R) David Hay has been named Recharge Industries™ Chief Scale Officer. Both joined Scale Facilitation® via the Scale Officer Program™ in May 2022 and both have played instrumental roles in launching Recharge Industries™, a Scale Facilitation® portfolio company.

“Dave Hay, in his new role as Chief Scale Officer of Recharge Industries™, will oversee the establishment of the advanced battery cell manufacturing facility at Avalon with the initial 2GWh production line of the 30GWh facility secured and arriving in May 2023. He will also facilitate the implementation of ‘Molecule OS’ a significant battery research and development program accompanying the production facility in Australia. Dave will work closely with recently appointed Recharge Industries™ CEO, and the academics supporting the project from Deakin University,” continued David.
Both David Hay and Robert Karmazin joined Scale Facilitation’s® Scale Officer Program™, which helps military veterans, especially those with distinctive military leadership experience, transition into post-military leadership roles. Until now, Bob Karmazin served as Chief Scale Officer of Recharge Industries™, with Dave Hay working with him as Australian Scale Officer. Now Dave will take over Bob’s leadership role at Recharge Industries™, and Bob will expand his learnings to multiple Scale Facilitation® portfolio companies in the U.S. as well as working with the numerous co-location partners which will establish operations in Australia in the Avalon Airport battery precinct anchored by Recharge Industries™.
