New York, NY, April 13, 2023 - Access New York™, a Scale Facilitation® program, launched with a roadshow in Australia last month, with stops in Sydney and Melbourne, mixing with industry leaders, potential partners, and an array of intrepid founders. The mission of Access New York™ is to facilitate the success of the world’s most innovative start-ups and SMEs (small and medium sized enterprise). In particular, Access New York™ offers innovative startups and SMEs around the world access to an array of resources and advantages Scale Facilitation® can provide in New York and, more broadly, in the United States. These resources include direct access to networks that are normally only available for large corporations, such as capital, technical support, research and development assistance, and operational support. The Access New York™ Australian roadshow began at Stone & Chalk in Sydney, giving the team an opportunity to connect with key stakeholders in the Australian startup ecosystem. The roadshow continued on to Melbourne where Access New York™ Program Lead – US, Kirsty Barany, represented Scale Facilitation® as a judge at the Startup Victoria Health and Wellbeing Pitch Night, helping to decide the best of four compelling pitches from founders. Congratulations to the team at Talked who was the overall winner for the night. During the roadshow, Access New York™ announced a partnership with Empiraa, naming it the program's official strategic planning tool. Empiraa will not only provide Access New York™ participants with an agile planning tool but also includes a seamless collaboration & communication channel between Access New York™ and its participants. The partnership with Empiraa marks a significant evolution in the Access New York™ approach to planning and decision-making, giving the organization newfound agility and insight into its participating ventures, ensuring they remain competitive in an ever-changing market. “We're absolutely thrilled to be partnering with the Scale Facilitation® Access New York™ Program to help SMEs and startups expand into the US market. Empiraa’s mission is to support businesses in achieving their goals and partnering with a team as passionate as Scale Facilitation® has been a perfect match for us,” said Ash Brown, CEO & Founder of Empiraa. "Access New York™ is designed to remove the obstacles that generally disrupt prosperity and the innovation continuum; counting on partners like Empiraa, who provide outstanding products and services and share a passion for the entrepreneurial journey, will be essential to achieving our mission," said Kirsty Barany. The roadshow wrapped up with Access New York™ hosting a ‘Doing Business in the USA’ networking event, alongside the US Commercial Services, SelectUSA, and Startup Victoria. The Access New York™ team was honored to host the U.S. Consul General, Kathleen Lively, along with dignitaries from both US and Australia, other industry partners, and founders looking to launch into the U.S. market. The team and its honored guests were impressed by the strong appetite organizations exhibited for this event, i.e., noting the high interest that exists to scale Australian startups and SMEs in the U.S. About Scale Facilitation® With its Global Headquarters in Manhattan and its Global Innovation Center in Geelong, Australia, Scale Facilitation® is working bilaterally to bring together research, advanced manufacturing, capital, supply chains and talent.
