Geelong, Victoria, October 5, 2022 - Scale Facilitation® has signed a lease on a 1090sqm workspace in the 11-hectare Pivot City business and innovation precinct in North Geelong, the recent recipient of an Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) award.
After rapidly outgrowing its current office in Pivot City, Scale Facilitation® has decided to expand in the award-winning precinct to accommodate the growing team.
Pivot City has over 4,000sqm of gardens, light-filled workspaces, onsite gyms, restaurants, cafes, event spaces, coworking spaces, a basketball court, 5.5 NABERS rating, and one gigabyte per second fibre internet, which are enjoyed by the more than 60 organizations and 1,100 employees who occupy the space.
Pivot City has been highly recognized, winning the national UDIA’s Best Urban Renewal Project award two years in a row, and the Best Regional Project in 2021. Pivot City was also the inaugural design champion for Geelong City of Design in 2019 and has received recognition from the Australian Government Department of Industry, Innovation & Science in the same year.
While retaining its original 250sqm office specifically for employees of its flagship portfolio company, Recharge Industries™, Scale Facilitation® will occupy another workspace in the refurbished 1934 glass factory. The new 1090sqm space will comprise of 76 workstations in an open office area, six offices, four quiet pods in various configuration sizes, two management rooms, a floating board room, and a specially designed space for children.
The light-filled space will be decked out with integrated planting to enhance the internal environment and consist of multiple spaces for teamwork including flexible terrace seating and multi-use collaboration zones.
Scale Facilitation® is also acquiring an international office in the United States, which will form the other end of the innovation pipeline the company is establishing between the US and Australia.
