Nicholas Claydon joins Scale Facilitation® as Director of Strategic Policy


Geelong, VIC, January 31st, 2022 – Nicholas Claydon has joined Scale Facilitation® as the new Director of Strategic Policy, coming straight out of a senior role at the Australian Critical Minerals Office. Nicholas will work within the Major Projects team and drive the expansion of Scale Facilitation® into numerous sectors of the Australian economy.

Nicholas will be focused on developing policy alignment between Scale Facilitation® and governments, with a particular focus on critical minerals, advanced manufacturing and energy policy. He will be responsible for securing policy and planning support from federal and state governments, for the development of all Scale Facilitation® portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Scale Facilitation®, Nick spent an extensive period of time working for the Australian Government, holding leadership roles within the Critical Minerals Office, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, and Office of the former Commonwealth Minister for Resources and Water. During these roles Nicholas has developed significant experience in formulating and implementing supportive industry policy, particularly with regards to the critical minerals sector. Prior to his time with the Australian Government Nicholas worked as a geologist with a number of resources companies.
