David A. Collard ‘Highly Commended’ at AmCham Alliance Awards Gala 2022


Sydney, Australia, November 9, 2022 - Scale Facilitation® CEO and Founder, David A. Collard, was recognized last night at American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Australia’s second annual Alliance Awards Gala as the Highly Commended Finalist for Energy and Clean Technology for Scale Facilitation® portfolio company Recharge Industries™ which will build Australia’s first large-scale lithium-ion battery production facility. The gala was held at the International Convention Centre in Sydney.


AmCham is Australia's largest international Chamber of Commerce. It helps companies to promote trade and investment between Australia and the US. The Gala was in recognition of “Who You are, What You Do, and What We Achieve Together."


David was the only individual to be a finalist in more than one of the six AmCham award categories. Along with Energy and Clean Technology category, he was also one of the five finalists for the Artificial Intelligence category for Scale Facilitation’s® work on its portfolio company re-open.com.


The Gala recognizes pathfinders in six key industries that strengthen the relationship between Australia and the United States, including Artificial Intelligence, Biotechnology, Digital Economy, Energy and Clean Technology, Quantum Computing, and Space.


Close to 1,000 people attended the Gala, including United States Ambassador to Australia, the Honourable Caroline Kennedy. The event was attended by several Scale Facilitation® team members including David A. Collard, Don Kingston, Gus Beeforth, James Fatone, Jo Smail, Luke Thackeray, Rob Fitzpatrick, Roxie Bennett, and Thomas Dwyer.
