Updated: Dec 8, 2022

New York, NY, December 3, 2022 - Scale Facilitation® received a strong display of support from key Australian political leaders at the opening of its U.S. headquarters on the 82nd floor of New York City’s One World Trade Centre. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, the Hon Richard Marles and Leader of the Opposition, the Hon Peter Dutton both attended the One World Trade Centre office ribbon cutting event on Saturday, December 3rd in a show of bipartisan commitment and approval of Scale Facilitation’s® plans to revolutionise global innovation. “Dave Collard is a force of nature. Dave Collard is innately entrepreneurial…Dave is a person who is values driven and who is passionate.” said Mr. Marles during his remarks. “He is also now very passionate about the two countries he now calls home: Australia and the United States and the alliance that binds us together. And about those who have served our nation, particularly passionate about those who have served in our militaries, and you can see that in the people now working for Scale Facilitation.” “I want to say thank you very much to Dave (Collard).... He brings together an enthusiasm….and he has the ability to see around corners and over the horizon. That is an incredible quality…thank you very much for what you have done in deepening the relationship between our two countries (US and Australia), said Mr. Dutton in his remarks. Mr. Marles and Mr. Dutton were joined by leaders of Australian and US business, government, military, research, trade unions and community members to officially co-open the new office, with proceedings beginning with a first-of-its-kind cultural exchange between representatives Hadrien Coumans and Joe Baker from the Lenape Tribe – who are the traditional first owners of the land where One World Trade Center now stands – and a local First Nations representative from Geelong (the land where Scale Facilitation® was conceived), Wadawurrung Woman Corrina Eccles. “It was an immense honour to have both Richard Marles and Peter Dutton here to help us open our new office at One World Trade Center. All of us at Scale Facilitation® were thrilled to celebrate this important milestone with such a diverse and welcoming group. We believe our work will lead to a productive bilateral and bipartisan unity, one which welcomes diversity, and the flourishing of U.S. and Australia as close trading partners,” said Scale Facilitation® founder and CEO, David A. Collard. During the formalities, Mr. Marles announced on behalf of Scale Facilitation® a tribute to Peter Gyulavary, a Geelong man who tragically lost his life while working on the 91st floor of the South Tower during the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre. Peter and twin brother Paul – who was flown over with his daughter to attend the office event – both attended Mr Collards alma mater, St Joseph’s College in Geelong. The recently announced Scale Facilitation® veterans lounge will be officially named The Peter Gyulavary Veterans' Lounge. The new Scale Facilitation® office, which marks the highest commercial full-floor lease in America, will be used to accelerate and fund innovation exchange and advanced manufacturing in both Australia and the United States, further strengthening the crucial relationship between the trading partners.
