Marie Oates

Marie is the Global Head of Communications and is responsible for overseeing communications for Scale Facilitation® and DSF. This includes overseeing media relations and communications strategy and execution across Scale Facilitation® channels and DSF projects.

Marie has served as a marketing, communications and HR executive in higher education, healthcare, commercial, foundation and non-profit organizations. She is an expert in strategic communications and media relations (globally and nationally). She has published two books, and her writing has appeared in the NY Times, Boston Globe, Chicago Tribune and other publications.

Before joining the Scale Facilitation® team, Marie has held a variety of high-level communications roles, including serving as the US Head of Communications at IESE Business School for over 11 years, where she oversaw US communications, alumni programming in the US and producing high profile leadership events. She also helped launch the US campus in NYC.

She holds a BA from Boston College and an MS from Boston University,
