Management Team

Josh Toney is the Head of Trading & Commodities,  responsible for building trading strategies while minimizing commodity, and currency risk for Scale Facilitation® and its portfolio companies namely Friend Shoring projects.
 
Josh started trading ferrous metals for the trading arm of a major US steel maker managing a portfolio of raw material consumers.  Prior to joining Scale Facilitation® he was a Steel Derivatives Broker where he devised and executing financial hedges for clients.  He was integral in bringing new global counterparties to the derivatives market and building critical trading mass across products.  Over the course of his career, financial and commodity publications have sought his insight for both speaking panels and quotations on steel markets and macro impacts.
 
As a lifelong student of markets Josh is able to mesh both physical and financial intelligence for unique insight.  His global network in the trading world will assist Scale Facilitation® in expanding into new markets.
