Major General (R) Robert A. Karmazin

Major General (R) Robert A. 'Bob' Karmazin, is a proven leader with an unparalleled depth of experience in special operations, having served as a Green Beret and as Major General US Special Operations Command, advising the Commander and Chief of Staff on issues relating to strategic, operational and human capital resources.

During his military service, of over 30 years, Maj Gen (R) Karmazin was responsible for the United States Special Operations Command’s (USSOCOM) enterprise-wide application of simulation interoperability technologies which involved facilitating the acceleration of AI, machine learning, and virtual and augmented reality in order to optimize decision-making, planning, and aggregate, analyze and federate data to reduce risk.

Maj Gen (R) Karmazin was also the USSOCOM representative to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) on the development and implementation of OSD initiatives focused on ensuring overmatch against pacing threats and strengthening resilience and readiness. Key elements of the initiatives included warfighter equipment, weapons systems, science and technology, and research and development.

Maj Gen (R) Karmazin is highly decorated having received numerous medals, including the Bronze Star, Defense Superior Service, Legion of Merit, Department of State Meritorious Honor, Meritorious Service, and Joint Service Commendation.
